Just seen x100 with s mark...just 2 years after x100 launched, with several improvement and new add on to its x100. Just cross in my mind, was 2 years ago x100 wasn't mature enough to be launched or is there several things missed by the engineer. with redesign some of the layout button and claimed improvement on AF speed and startup, and several other improvement, this remind to nikon d300s as an update from d300 which i think its not substantial enough (IMHO), let save it for new video recording capability. If d300 is so good at its era so that d300s doesn't show significant change on it, then what should i call the update of x100s over x100

announced back there at 2007, this gem still really shine, at least for me. compared to D90, D300s and even D7000, to me, it still hold its own class. 3 things for me to prefer this precious legend : - lock mechanism for CF door (even D700 doesn't have this) - no video (yeaa..real DSLR don't do video :)  ) - color characteristic, may be its a matter of taste, this beauty render skintone color nicely,a bit more natural than its siblings. - full magnesium alloy at front,top and rear (and the new D600 recently announced at around $2000 have only at the top and rear) that's 4 things :) the last one, if compared to D600... and dont forget ab

when i see some old picture, i've just found out that i prefer nikon ccd's color characteristic against nikon cmos (basic iso) i miss my old classical D70, but too bad in high iso, it just blown away by nikon new generation sensor.
